Mouse Finger Puppet

Materials:

6" square of fake fur in brown
2 pom poms 1/2" brown for ears
3 faceted 6mm black beads nose and eyes
5" brown yarn for tail
Needle
Brown thread
Scissors
Fabric glue
Print out of pattern

Instructions:

Print the pattern, cut it out and use it to cut a 5" circle from the fake fur. Cut a slit almost half way across the center of the circle (red line on pattern).

Fold along the slit across the circle with the fur sides together. You now have a half circle with a slit half way across on the fold. Stitch 1/4" from the curved edge from the fold to the slit. Turn the fur side out through the slit.

Glue or stitch the yarn on the inside about one inch along the curved stitch line.

Glue one black bead just above the fold for his nose. Glue the other two beads in the eye area and the two pom poms in place for his ears. (See picture for placement of nose, eyes and ears.)

To work the puppet, place your middle or index finger (depending of hand size) into the slit and along the fold. Scratch with the tip of your finger and the mouse will lokk as if he is actually alive.

The more wear the puppet gets the more real he will look.
