This bookmark was made in memory of a special friend. The charms shown were special to that person but you may choose 3 to 5 charms that mean something to the person to receive your bookmark.

Instructions:

This bookmark was made using charms that meant something to the recipient of the gift. In the prayer box I placed a small prayer with the name of the person remembered. You may pick charms and small pendants related to the one for whom you are making the bookmark.

Using a jump ring attach the tassel to the loop on the bookmark. make a chain of 2 jump rings for the heart pendant (I removed the bail and attached the rings).

The prayer box has a chain of 4 or 5 jump rings (allowing it to hang free of the other items). You may need more or less rings depending on the charms chosen.

Working with the jump rings: Place the tip of your pliers into the center of the jump ring while closed and gentle open the pliers slightly to spread the opening, add the charm or another jump ring, remove the pliers and gently squeeze the ring closed.

To avoid weakening a number of rings, open one and add the charm and a second ring at the same time. When the ring is closed you will have a chain of 2 rings and the charm. Open a second ring and add the chain with the charm on it and another ring. Continue this way until your chain is as long as you need it to be.
