Spring Napkin Tie

Spring Napkin Tie

Materials:

Approx.. 20" or rat tail cord or narrow ribbon color of choice
2 decorative beads or buttons (I used butterfly shank buttons)
26 pony beads in colors of choice (match groups of 13 for each end)
Folded napkin

Instructions:

Tie a knot in one end of the cord or ribbon. Thread the first decorative bead or button on the cord followed by 13 pony beads. Tie a single knot as close to the last bead as possible.

Thread 13 pony beads in reverse color order then add the second decorative bead or button. Tie a knot in the end of the cord. Tie a single knot in the cord working it to just in front of the first pony bead on the second end of the cord.

Trim the ends of the cord close to the knots on each end. Fold the Napkin and loop the tie around the napkin. You can wrap the silverware in the napkin and then arrange a single knot around the bundle for a buffet table.

Use heavy decorative beads and these napkin ties work well with paper napkins on an outdoor party.
