Pom Critter Napkin Rings

Instructions:

General Instructions After you have completed the Pom Critters of your choice attach them to the napkin ring ribbon as follows:

Form a loop of your ribbon and glue one end to approximately the middle of the ribbon. Cut the tail into a "V" shape. Write the name on the extended piece of the ribbon. Glue the Pom Critter so the piece of ribbon extends from side of his head and when the napkin is placed in the ring it will go from the top of his head to his chin.

Bear:

Begin with the 1" pompom for his head and glue the 3/4" pompom as his muzzle as shown in the picture. Glue the quarter inch black pompom to the center of the muzzle and the two half inch pompoms on the top of his head for ears as shown in the picture. Glue the two wiggle eyes so they just touch the 3/4" pompom.

Using the pattern shown cut a piece of thin Fun Foam or construction paper. Fold on the dotted line. Place glue on the back and press into the bear's head just below the muzzle. The top portion will be glued to the bear head and onto the muzzle to give him an open mouthed look.

Lion:

Glue the 1-1/2" tan pompom to the 2" yellow pompom leaving more of the yellow showing at the top. Glue your quarter inch tan pompoms one on either side at the joint between the yellow and tan pompoms to make his ears. Using the pattern piece shown cut out of thin Fun Foam or construction paper the mouth shape. Glue to the front lower portion of the 1-1/2 tan pompom. Glue the half inch tan pompom as his muzzle covering the top portion of the mouth. Glue the 1/8" black pompom to the center of the muzzle and glue the two wiggle eyes so that the bottom just touches the 1/2" muzzle pompom.

Elephant:

Cut out the mouth and two ears from your Fun Foam or construction paper. Glue the ears, one on each side of the 1" gray pompom. See the picture for positioning. Glue one quarter inch gray pompom in the center of the 1" pompom. Place glue on the back of the elephant's mouth. Fold slightly and press it into the 1" pompom just below the quarter inch pompom.

Glue his two eyes slightly above and to either side of the quarter inch pompom. You have completed the basic head. It just remains to build his trunk with the other quarter inch gray pompoms. The number used will depend on how firmly they are glued in place and how much weight this causes. Place a small amount of glue in the center of one of the quarter inch pompoms and press it firmly into the center of the first pompom on the elephant's face.

The third pompom is glued slightly below center on the second pompom. Continue gluing them firmly in place until you have the elephant's trunk looking as you like. The final pompom is pink and draw two tiny spots on the outside center of the pink pompom.

Now that you have made these three animals can you think of any more?
