Insert
one end of the wire through the opening at the top of the icicle.
Wrap it around the loop twice bringing the short end up and forming
a tight curl at the top. This will be one of the dragonflies antennae.
With the long end of the wire wrap it in a spiral to approximately
one third of the way down the icicle. Thread one of the larger
leaves and make a single turn of the wire around the icicle then
thread one of the smaller leaves.
Continue
the spiral loosely to near the very end of the icicle. Retrace
your spiral forming a cross on the wire already there to the point
where you are opposite the small leaf. Add the second small leaf,
one turn bringing your wire between the large and small leaf on
the other side. Add the second large leaf continuing the spiral
up to the loop of the icicle. Bring the wire around the loop as
you did in the beginning.
Trim
any excess and form a tight curl at the end of the wire to form
the second antennae. With your E-6000 glue, glue the glass leaves
to the icicle and add the pin back so it runs parallel to the
back of the dragonfly. Glue the crystal jewel into the loop of
the icicle to form the head.
Place
your dragonfly into your decorated Jewelry Box and it is ready
for storage and presentation.
