Angel Pin

Materials:
1 large button
Small piece of batting
Fabric scrap flesh color of choice
Small amount of doll hair or yarn color of choice
Piece of gold cord for halo
Paint, pencils or crayons to color facial features
Lace butterfly for wings
Pin back
Needle and matching thread
Scissors
White craft glue
Paint brush
Cardboard covered with plastic wrap slightly larger than the butterfly

Instructions:

Place the butterfly wrong side up on the plastic covered cardboard. Paint the entire butterfly with craft glue. You may add a small amount of paint, color of your choice, to the glue in order to color the angel wings. Set aside to dry completely.

Cut out the doll head above and add the features. Place a very thin piece of batting over your button then gather the face with a running stitch inside the seam allowance, pull it tight over the button and stitch in place to anchor.

Glue a small amount of doll hair to the button head and add the gold cord halo. Peel the lace butterfly from the plastic wrapped cardboard and apply to the back of the button head. Attach the pin back to the back of the butterfly and angel head.

This is an easy pin to make and works well when making a larger number of angel pins as small gifts.
