Acorn Cookies

Instructions: Follow instructions on the package for oven temperature and cooking time. Cut cookie dough in rounds and bake as directed. Cool on wire rack. Place the chocolate chips in a blender and make fine crumbs, set aside for now. Cut an acorn template from a plastic lid, you may use the picture above or your own drawing but be sure your template is smaller than the baked cookies. Using a toothpick dipped in food coloring, trace the template on the top of each cookie Frost the acorn with chocolate frosting covering the food color tracing. While the frosting is still wet sprinkle the fine ground chocolate chips on the cap area of the acorn. Hide until serving time! |
