Materials:

9" X 12" piece of felt in white or pale blue

Paint in green, red, black, brown, orange, pale blue and white

Small amount iridescent glitter

Paint brushes

Pattern

2 dowel sticks 12" X 1/4"

Hanging cord or ribbon

White Craft Glue

Heavy cardboard

Pencil

Masking tape

Optional: If you wish to decorate the tree for Christmas add glue on jewels, sequins and small ornaments. You may add tassels to the ends of the cord hanger to finish.

Instructions:

Tape the felt to the cardboard so it does not move. Using the pattern trace the picture onto the felt. Paint each area following the colors and design as in the picture. While the white paint is still wet lightly sprinkle the trees, the lower edge of the cloud and the snowman with glitter.

Allow to dry thoroughly. Glue the top edge of your banner to the dowel stick, add the cord hanger and hanger your banner on a door or wall.

This is only one design but you can use any color book type picture for your pattern, making a different banner for each season or celebration.
