Ashley at agenaw2000@yahoo.com left this message on 6/18/09.

Message: I have these dolls that are made of cloth with saw dust inside, including the head and face. They are adult dolls that have hair made from yarn and are dressed in what looks like clothes from another country, maybe Spain . They are about a foot long, both male and female. I am 62 and they belonged to my mother. Any news would be good news.

Message: I have a beautiful near mint cloth coll by Georgene Averill, the creator of the Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, as well as the Little Lulu dolls. I believe she is from the 1930s or 1940s. She is a little Dutch Girl. I can not find any recent sales of this doll, or any dolls in comperable condition. She is clean and odor free, just like new, complete. About 14 inches tall, with original Georgene wrist tag, too! Here is a photo of her face: or past this into your browser. Asking $99 or best offer. I think I paid $125 for her 10 years ago, on Ebay. Thanks Kathy :o)

Message: I have an elderly client at my Center and he was telling us that he manufactured a doll called the Heady Turny Doll by the LaCeil Compnay in Brooklyn, NY...I would love to find a photo of the doll and any info and give it to him....he said it was a walking doll made of some kind of plastic with saran(?) hair and a pink, blue or yellow dress. He said it had a mechanism that they put in the stomach that would make it work..the first doll was not able to sit so they invented one that could sit if you moved the legs out a little bit from the joint..he said the head also turned when it walked and it cxame with brown or blond hair...his memory is not the best at this time, but he seemed to now a lot....he said he and his brother in law started the company and then later it was bought by some of the salesmen that worked there...any body with any info please help...i am not having any luck finding info so i thought htis sight might help...CK
